I have two very sweet, lovable and adorable friends that are up to what us up north folks call “no good.” They have been plotting, betting, posting comments, and sending anonymous (but not really anonymous) magazine subscriptions to me in the mail. I’m surprised they haven’t booked the reception hall and ordered the cake at this point.
What are they scheming you ask? Well, I have been happily dating a wonderful man for over six months now and they, along with my Aunt Helen and my brother Mark, think I should be tying the knot any day now. Both my Aunt Helen and my Aunt Sandi have checked their calendars and tell me that August is wide open for them. My darling friends that I mentioned above have been nice enough to subscribe me to Modern Bride and tell me that August is good for them too. Unfortunately, August interferes with Packer preseason and Brewers post-season. And, don’t forget… Badger football starts a few short days later. Sorry folks, August is bad for us.
BTW gals… if you’re making the reception plans which I’m sure you are, I want an 80s band/DJ and I prefer poppyseed cake with whipped-cream frosting.

You left out a little something: You forgot to say that we — your “up-to-no-good” friends — introduced the two of you to each other. Therefore, we are heavily invested in seeing this thing to conclusion.

Match-Makers Extraordinaire
Ah yes, the matchmakers. To all of my readers (all six of you) and to the rest of the internet, I owe a debt of gratitude to the Match-Makers Extraordinaires for hooking us up. Thank you Gimpy Girls!
August is good for us, too! September 29-October 1 are out, as are October 8-9, and a lot of November if iffy. Given weather in Wisconsin, I’d go for September or October.
(A gentle nudge from another friend, at the instigation of you-can-guess-who.)
Sara
Thanks Sara! I’ll keep your calendar in mind if I need to start planning anything which I don’t at this time.
I miss seeing and chatting with you and Catherine. Please give her my best.
